I’ve mapped the air pollution in Sheffield. All locations with measures over 40 are illegal (though being below this doesn’t mean that it is safe – lower is always better).

The data
The data is from small monitoring tubes which are collected each month for lab analysis. Many are done by volunteers – I do a few near where I live. The readings are calibrated against permanent air monitoring stations in Sheffield by the council who coordinate these tubes.
